tour: Visit two Wineries & Cipolletti Dam

We leave Mendoza around 2:30 pm heading south to reach the first area of fine wine production. We will visit two very different wineries in order to compare their processes. One will be an industrial scale winery while the other will be a small scale artisan winery. Some of the wineries we might visit include Bodegas López, Vistandes, Lagarde, St. Hubert and Don Arturo. Once in the wineries, we will walk along the rows of stainless steel tanks and oak barrels, learn about the manufacturing process. After each visit, we will enjoy an exclusive wine tasting of each winery’s different wines.  After the wineries, we will visit an an olive press to observe the production process of the most common varieties of olive oil, Virgin and Extra Virgin. Later we visit the Cipolletti Dam, which provides the water to irrigate most of Mendoza’s vineyards. Our last stop will be a visit to the Church of Our Lady of the Carrodilla the Protector of the Vineyards, which houses a beautiful image of the Virgin dating from the eighteenth century. We return to the city of Mendoza around 8:00 pm. mendoza tour bodegas y dique cipoletti argentina
